Political leaders drawn from Bungoma county led by Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetangula and Governor Kenneth Lusaka held a consultative meeting on development with President William Ruto at Eldoret State Lodge.
The leaders asked the Head of State to prioritize the following projects terming them as key to economic growth of the county.
– Support for Nzoia sugar company
-Upgrading of Chwele -Lwakhakha road
-Upgrading of Misikhu – Brigadier – Ndalu – Kiminini Road
– Upgrading of Musikoma – Mungatsi road
– Upgrading of Navakholo – Sang’alo – Musikoma road
Other projects included;
– Construction of Mayanja -Sango – Malakisi road
– Completion of Kimilili -Kapsokwony road
– Construction of Mateka-Bumul-Malakisi-Lwakhakha road
– Construction of Soy – Brigadear – Ndalu – Kiminini road
– Construction of Matisi – Bokoli -Teremi -Kuywa -Kapkateny road
– Funding of Tea factories in Mt. Elgon and revival of Malakisi cotton ginnery.
