Mandate

The Directorate of Special Programmes is a department with structured activities of social welfare intended for the community.

We are on an upward trajectory.

The Deputy Governor H.E Jennifer Mbatiany today flagged of the Special Programmes Baseline Survey in the 45wards and policy formulation to be conducted by the County assembly researchers and economists.

With Special Programmes Priority Focus Areas :

Food and nutrition security programs
Disaster Risk Reduction Programs
Social service initiatives
Climate change Action Programs
Education Programs
Health and Care programs
Civic Education

-Special Health Action Progams, a baseline survey of the need for intervention is vital.

The final report will help in developing a legal framework for this sensitive department and it will inturn guide on resource allocation and development of a strategic plan to be used in response, mitigation and resilience Programs for the people of Bungoma.

I have an obligation to raise the bar of service delivery to the people of Bungoma through this Directorate.
